Before determining which blood group can receive your blood, it is necessary to identify your blood type. Except for very special cases, most blood transfusions adhere to the following matching principle:

Group A can only receive blood from Group A and O.	Group B can only receive blood from Group B and O.
Group AB can receive blood from anybody.	Group O can only receive blood from Group O.
